First and foremost a "Thank You for Your Service" for all the people who have sacrificed for this country. Not just those in uniforms, but all their support too - the family and friends that live the life and make their own sacrifices supporting those serving at home and away.
On our homefront, the weather is cooler and the family hasn't gotten together for months, but we aren’t doing too bad. Tom is doing the grocery shopping and I’m staying in - except for doctor appointments. Thank god the elective surgeries have been ok’ed because Tom really needs cataract surgery. Today, we ended up working in the garden and cleaning the house. Got to talk to Robert and Karen. I’ve got to start thinking about canning, because it looks like we might have gotten lucky with the orchard and missed some of the freeze damage. the peach trees need to be thinned and pruned before we go to the cabin. And maybe another spray this evening.
